learn about my services

  • These services range from simple root touch-ups and single-process all-over color to more advanced techniques like balayage, ombre, full and partial highlights, and lowlights. Using high-quality, vibrant, and long-lasting professional color, I can achieve a variety of stunning results — whether you’re looking for gray coverage, a rich, dimensional brunette, a bright blonde refresh, or a bold, creative color transformation. Every formula is customized to your hair’s needs to ensure shine, longevity, and health. Custom color not only adds depth and dimension to your hair but also enhances your overall look, giving you a personalized style that truly stands out.

  • K-Tip Extensions: Also known as keratin tip or fusion extensions, are a strand-by-strand method of applying hair extensions using a small keratin bond at the tip of each extension. I use a specialized heat tool to safely melt and fuse the keratin bond to your natural hair, creating a strong and discreet attachment. This method is highly customizable, allowing me to add length, volume, or pops of color exactly where you want them. Because each strand is individually applied, K-Tips blend seamlessly and move naturally with your own hair. These extensions are one of the most durable options, lasting up to 3–5 months with proper care. While the application process is more time-intensive, the results are long-lasting, lightweight, and virtually undetectable, making them an excellent choice for clients seeking a premium, low-maintenance extension method.

Tape-In Extensions: This is a type of hair extension that is applied using adhesive tape. Each weft of hair has a thin, clear strip of adhesive tape attached to it. I section off your natural hair and then sandwich a small section between two tape-in extensions, essentially sticking them together with your natural hair in the middle. These extensions are relatively durable, and they can add length and volume without the use of heat or tools. However, these extensions need to be moved up every 4-6 weeks as your natural hair grows out.

Micro-links: Also known as micro-beads or micro loops, are a method of hair extension application that doesn't involve glue, heat, or braiding. Instead, small sections of your natural hair are threaded through tiny metal rings (the microlinks), along with a strand of the extension hair. Then, the ring is clamped down to secure the extension in place. This method is known for creating a very natural look since the extensions move freely with your natural hair. However, microlinks require regular maintenance appointments to move up the beads as your hair grows.

  • Two Strand Twists: This is a popular style among those with natural hair. It involves dividing the hair into sections, then taking each section and splitting it into two strands. These strands are then twisted around each other from the root to the ends of the hair. Two strand twists can be worn as a hairstyle itself, or it can be undone after drying to create a twist out, which gives the hair added volume and texture.

Flat Twists: This style is similar to two strand twists, but instead of just twisting the strands around each other, they're twisted flat against the scalp, similar to cornrows. This creates a neat, protective style that can last a few days or even up to a week, depending on how well it's maintained. Flat twists can be done on any length of hair, and they can also be unravelled to create a curly, voluminous style.

Coils: Also known as finger coils, this is a method of styling where small sections of damp hair are twirled around the finger to create tight, spiral curls. This style works best on short to medium length natural hair. Coils can give the appearance of a full head of ringlets and can be a great low-maintenance style for those with highly textured hair.

Roller Sets:This classic styling technique involves wrapping damp hair around rollers of various sizes and drying it under a hooded dryer. Once removed, the rollers reveal bouncy, defined curls with lots of body and shine. Roller sets work beautifully on all hair types and lengths, making them a versatile, heat-conscious option for achieving a curly look. I offer several variations: silkening roller sets, which smooth and stretch the hair to prep for a sleek straight style; flexi rod sets, which create soft, spiral curls; and perm rod sets, which deliver tighter, more defined curls.

Wash and Go's: This is a method of styling natural hair where the hair is washed, a curl-defining product is applied, and then the hair is left to dry naturally or with a diffuser. The goal is to define the natural curl pattern of the hair and create a style that can last several days with minimal manipulation. This method works best on curly to coily hair types.

  • Stretched Blow Out (Prep for Styling): This blowout is designed specifically to prepare your hair for protective styles such as braids, twists, or other natural styles. After cleansing and conditioning, I apply a heat protectant and use tension blow-drying techniques to gently stretch the hair without aiming for a silky or smoothed finish. The goal is to create a manageable, detangled base that makes protective styling easier and more comfortable, or to give you a stretched foundation if you prefer to finish styling your hair at home.

Wig Braid Down: This is a preparation method for wearing a wig, especially a glueless or lace front wig. The natural hair is first shampooed, conditioned, and blow-dried. Then, the hair is braided down in cornrows or flat twists against the scalp. These braids serve as the foundation to which the wig will be attached. The direction and pattern of the braids can vary based on the desired final look of the wig. This technique helps to protect the natural hair underneath and ensures a flat, seamless finish for the wig.

  • A silk press is a straightening service specifically designed for natural hair. It involves the use of heat through blow-drying and flat-ironing to temporarily smooth and straighten the hair. This technique is chemical-free, making it a great choice for those with kinky, coily, or curly hair types who want to experience a sleek look without the use of harsh chemicals.

The process begins with a thorough shampoo and conditioning treatment to cleanse and hydrate the hair, accompanied by a relaxing steam treatment to help the conditioner deeply penetrate and nourish your strands. The hair is then blow-dried and sectioned off in preparation for the flat iron. Then I use a high-quality flat iron to press the hair, creating a straight, shiny, silky, and soft finish. This gives the hair a lot of body and the appearance of being relaxed, even though no chemicals were used.

Blowout / Soft Press: This service is ideal if you want movement, body, and a smooth finish without going as sleek as a traditional silk press. After a thorough shampoo, conditioning, and heat protection, I use blow-drying and light pressing techniques to stretch and smooth the hair while maintaining natural volume and softness. The result is a polished look with bounce and shine that feels lightweight and effortless, making it perfect for clients who prefer a more natural, flowy finish.

  • Healthy, thriving hair starts with a strong foundation. Every service in my chair is paired with targeted treatments designed to restore balance, strength, and moisture because healthy hair always comes first.

Steam Treatments (Included in Every Service)

A steam treatment is automatically included with every appointment. Using warm, gentle steam, the hair cuticle is opened, allowing conditioners and treatments to penetrate deeply into the strand. This boosts hydration, softens the hair, and improves overall manageability. Steam also promotes scalp circulation, helping to reduce dryness, dandruff, and buildup while supporting healthier hair growth.

How should I maintain my hair after a color treatment?

Maintaining hair color at home requires some care and attention to ensure it stays vibrant and long-lasting.

  • Invest in a high-quality color-protecting shampoo and conditioner. These products are specially formulated to help maintain hair color and prevent fading.

  • Hot water can strip away color and natural oils from the hair.

  • Reduce the frequency of hair washing. Washing hair every 7-10 days, rather than daily, can help maintain color and prevent fading.

  • Exercise caution against using shampoos with sulfates, as they can be harsh on colored hair and cause fading. Sulfate-free shampoos are a better choice.

  • Use hair products with UV protection, such as leave-in sprays or serums. UV rays can accelerate color fading, so protection is essential.

  • Heat styling tools like flat irons and curling irons can cause color to fade faster. Use these tools sparingly and at lower temperatures.

  • Use dry shampoo between washes to refresh hair and absorb excess oil without stripping away color.

  • Incorporate a deep conditioning treatment into your routine once a week or as needed. This helps keep hair hydrated and prevents it from becoming dry and brittle.

  • Wear a swim cap when swimming in chlorinated pools or saltwater, as both can affect hair color.

  • If you experiences issues with your hair color, not to attempt DIY color corrections but consult with me prior to using any professional products. DIY hair color is extremely unpredictable and can cause extreme chemical reactions.

What should I do if I'm late or need to cancel my appointment?

I have a 72 hour cancellation and rescheduling policy.

Appointments canceled within 72 hours of your appointment time will incur a 100% fee of the service total.

All appointments canceled or rescheduled prior to the 72 hour deadline will not incur a charge.

Can I bring in pictures of the style I want?

It is highly recommended that you bring in inspiration photos to your color consultation so we can discuss which colors we’d like to use from the swatch book.

How long will my appointment take?

For silk press and natural hair hair services, expect to spend 2 ½ to 3 hours in the salon.

For Pre-Protective style services, expect to spend 1 ½ to 2 hours in the salon.

For Color and Extensions expect to spend 4 or more hours in the salon.

All service times are a rough estimate and are based off client’s hair density, thickness, length and prior hair state.

Do you provide services for children?

I do provide services for children who are able to sit and navigate through their appointment without consistent movement or help from parents.

Do you provide color services on chemically processed hair?

I specialize exclusively in natural hair and do not offer color services to clients who have permanently altered their texture with chemical treatments such as relaxers, Brazilian blowouts, Gina curls, or similar services. My focus is on maintaining the health and integrity of your natural hair throughout the coloring process.

I also do not provide color correction services, as these can compromise the strength and long-term health of your hair. If you’re unsure whether your hair is considered chemically processed, we will confirm during your mandatory consultation before moving forward.

What’s included in your services?

Every service in my chair is designed to be a complete, luxury experience. Each appointment includes a thorough shampoo and conditioning session, paired with a steam treatment to deeply hydrate and nourish your hair and scalp.

You’ll also receive in-depth treatments tailored to your hair and scalp needs, trims, and education as needed to ensure your hair remains healthy long after you leave the salon. For extension services, the extensions themselves are included, so everything you need is built into your appointment.

All I ask is that clients arrive with their hair detangled and free from their previous style, so we can maximize our time together and start fresh.

  • Moisturize Regularly: Use a leave-in conditioner or a moisturizing spray to keep your hair hydrated and prevent breakage.

Avoid Over-styling: Keep manipulation of your hair to a minimum to avoid causing strain and damage.

Protect Your Hair at Night: Wrap your hair in a silk or satin scarf/bonnet or use a satin pillowcase to reduce friction and prevent frizz.

Regular Maintenance: Depending on your style, you may need regular touch-ups. Prebook your future appointments for the best maintenance schedule.

  • Limit Heat Exposure: After your silk press, limit the use of heated styling tools to maintain the health of your hair.

Wrap your hair: Wrapping your hair at night helps preserve the smoothness and shape of your silk press by keeping the strands stretched and aligned. It also minimizes friction against your pillow, which reduces breakage, tangling, and frizz. Whether you’re going to bed or simply lounging at home, wrapping your hair is one of the best ways to extend the life of your style and protect your hair’s overall health.

Use a Silk Scarf or Bonnet at Night: This will help maintain your style and prevent frizz.

Avoid Water and Humidity: These can cause your hair to revert back to its natural state. Use an umbrella or shower cap when necessary.

Schedule Regular Trims: To maintain the health and appearance of your hair, schedule regular trims to nurture growth.

  • Brush Carefully: Use a soft bristle brush and start from the ends of your hair, working your way up to avoid tugging at the extensions.

Avoid Certain Hair Products: Stay away from products containing alcohol, oil or other harsh ingredients as these can damage the extensions.

Don't Sleep with Wet Hair: Always ensure your hair is completely dry before going to bed to prevent matting and tangling.

Use a Silk Scarf or Bonnet at Night: This will help maintain your style, prevent frizz, and protect the wefts/bonds.

Regular Maintenance Appointments: Schedule regular appointments with to keep your extensions looking their best. They will require retouches to move the extensions up every 4-6 weeks on average.

How can I upkeep my hair post appointment?

Do you offer consultations?

Absolutely — and not only do I offer them, I highly encourage every client to start here. Consultations are mandatory for all color services and extensions. This ensures we create a plan that prioritizes the health of your hair and delivers the best, most customized results.

In addition to standard consultations, I also offer my signature Hair Rx service — a personalized hair analysis and prescription session where we assess your scalp, hair health, current routine, and long-term goals. With Hair Rx, you’ll leave with a tailored product and treatment plan designed specifically for your hair’s needs, even if you’re not ready to book a full service yet.

Consultations are the foundation of everything I do, giving us the chance to connect, set realistic expectations, and make sure your hair is fully prepared for your transformation.

How do I know if I’m eligible for color or extensions?

We’ll determine an official answer during your mandatory consultation, where I’ll evaluate the health of your scalp and hair, your lifestyle, and your long-term goals. This ensures that we choose the safest, most effective path forward for your crown.

In general, you may be a strong candidate for color or extensions if you:

  • Maintain a consistent hydration and moisturizing routine for your hair and scalp

  • Have an established hair care regimen with quality products

  • Avoid frequent high-tension styles (tight braids, ponytails, or sew-ins) that can stress the hair and scalp

  • Schedule regular trims to prevent breakage and split ends

  • Protect your hair at night with a silk or satin scarf, bonnet, or pillowcase

  • Are committed to keeping up with maintenance appointments (whether for color touch-ups, extension move-ups, or treatments)

  • Are in overall good scalp health, with minimal flaking, excessive dryness, or active irritation

Even if you’re not a candidate right away, don’t worry — I’ll create a personalized hair care plan to get you there. My goal is to help every client safely achieve their desired look while keeping their hair healthy and thriving.

What should I do to prepare my hair for coloring?

Coloring services are a three step process at Love, Kayli Nicole. At your first appointment, you will come in for a color consultation where we will discuss hair history, hair goals, and we will conduct a strand and patch test.

Once we have agreed on when you can come back for your color service, we will schedule you a “hair prep” appointment 48-72 hours before your color appointment. At the hair prep appointment, you will receive a shampoo, treatment, blowout and haircut. This helps me properly prepare your hair and scalp for your color service and allows me to remove any hair that needs to go prior to the service to eliminate wasted product, time and money.

48-72 hours later, we will conduct your color service.

What types of payment do you accept?

For your convenience, I accept all major debit and credit cards through my secure payment processing system, as well as cash payments. In addition, I offer flexible Buy Now, Pay Later options (such as installment plans) to make investing in your hair care and beauty goals more manageable. These options allow you to book the services you want now and pay over time, making it easier to maintain your hair without compromising on quality.
