About Me:

My name is Kayli Nicole and I am your new fave natural haircare guru.

I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist since June 2020. Ironically the day I graduated was the day that COVID was declared as a world pandemic March 11, 2020. This was a WILD time entering the world of cosmetology and entrepreneurship! But I pushed through and proceeded to establish my studio despite the challenges post COVID, I knew that my passion would help me overcome the obstacles.

When I really sit and think about it, it was more than likely instilled in me as a child that I would become a hairstylist. My mom took me to the beauty salon every two weeks, and my hairstylist had my hair growing down my back. I loved going to the beauty shop and LOVED getting my hair pressed no matter how long we were there on a Saturday, the heat I had to endure while under the dryer, nor the battles I fought during the actual press. While the little girls wanted Barbies, I wanted to walk around the beauty supply and try new products, grab the cutest beads, and the FRESHEST bonnets. My mom noticed how often I changed my hair in high school and told me to go to cosmetology school before junior year. I ignored it…but came straight back to it three years later. I’m really doing this for four-year-old me.

What do I love about my work?

The transformations I create and the relationships built between me and my clients. I do every service turned away from the mirror to ensure that my clients won't see their hair during the service. It stresses them out, but they always LOVE when I finally turn them around. The suspense built during the service is intense, but it makes me love it even more that they trust me enough to make their hair dreams come true.

My Philosophy

I truly believe that everyone can have a great style, color or service as long as you have an open mind about how each style, color or service will look and feel to YOU. It’s truly about knowing yourself and what you need out of it and having an open mind while working with a licensed person who specializes in said service.

What makes my approach unique?

It’s all in the consultation and it’s honestly my favorite part of every service that I provide. I love getting to know what clients are doing at home and they are always so well informed before the appointment is over. Something that seems as simple as teaching client’s the importance of shampooing their hair. Some clients truly believe that “not shampooing is okay” because they saw a tiktok video of some girl saying “I went 7 months without washing my hair and look at the growth.” I pour into my clients and educate them on what I know and believe is the healthiest and best regimen for their unique needs and goals!

I stay educated on all things natural hair, it’s an incredibly diverse and interesting niche that I believe is my true ministry!
